PHOTOS X session of Cannes Investors Club: East – West Investment Crossroads
On March, 14 in the framework of MIPIM-2018 program at the Moscow City Pavilion the 10th session of Cannes Investors Club was held. Traditionally it convened most active market players and knowledgeable speakers. They discussed relevant market trends and investors behavior in the fast changing global situation. The discussion was opened by David P. Wilson, CCIM, 2018 CCIM Institute President, who presented the CCIM analysis of trends and investors’ preferences in the world-leading real estate market of the United States.
Other international experts and developers presented their investment expectations considering the Russian and neighboring markets. Today Russia and other countries put a great emphasis on the development of infrastructure and new public and commercial projects generated by it.
A perfect example illustrating such projects was presented by Mehmet Kalyoncu, Member of the Boards, Kalyon Construction Group. The new Istanbul airport integrates new business and leisure opportunities with modern residential quarters around it.
Russian speakers discussed the main urban development vectors and investment risks to avoid fatal missteps.

Murad Nazarov is the founder and head of companies ISA NABI, AVALON GROUP, FRANCHISING INVEST and MURAD BUILDINGS. Murad Buildings is a dynamic development company in Uzbekistan; it builds residential complexes with appropriate social infrastructure. The residential complexes have a unique design for target groups with different income levels. He has state awards of Uzbekistan. |
David P. Wilson, |
2018 CCIM Institute President, CCIM Executive Committee Chair and one of the youngest presidents to hold the position in the Institute’s 51-year history. David is a Partner and Executive Vice President of Lockard Development and also President of Lockard Commercial Realty. Wilson has closed more than $600 million in transactions for development projects in 15 states. His specialties include retail, restaurant, healthcare, and senior living projects. Since obtaining his CCIM designation in 2002, he has progressively moved up from leadership positions within the Iowa CCIM Chapter to significant positions on multiple CCIM Institute national committees, including roles on both the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. In addition to his development experience, Wilson belongs to the International Council of Shopping Centers, and he is member of the Site Source Retail Broker Network with more than 40 offices nationwide. |
Sergey Riabokobylko, |
Sergey Riabokobylko is Executive Partner and General Director of Cushman & Wakefield, and a co-founder of the company’s Russian office. Sergey is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is also Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the PSN Group; Deputy of Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the US Chamber of Commerce in Russia; Vice Chairperson of the United Way Charitable Fund; Member of YPO. Sergey Riabokobylko has built one of the strongest teams in the Russian consultancy market.
