Russian regions want to be more energy efficient

In 2014 more than 40 applications have been submitted for the All-Russian Competition on Sustainable Development and Energy Efficiency – Green Awards, held within PROEstate forum. It shows the increasing interest of Russian companies to Green development, especially in the regions.

In nomination “Warehouses and industrial property” SKF factory in Tver will compete with PepsiCo factory (Russia) in Azov, Rostov oblast.

Competitors of the “Housing” nomination are residential complex “Ozhogino” from Tumen, Nizhny Novgorod eco-farm “Knyazhevo”, energy-efficient house Natural Balance in Naberezhnye Chelny and 2 projects from Ekaterinburg: SMART-microdistrict “Patrushihinskie ponds” and energy efficient economy class residential building of Managing Company “Ecodolje”.

“Suvar Plaza” in Kazan has applied for “Business center” nomination.

Voting of juries will be held in August in St. Petersburg. Jury will consist of authorities, heads of the leading companies of the Russian real estate market, Russian and International experts in the sphere of energy efficient and sustainable construction.
