Investment potential of St. Petersburg at EXPO REAL 2014
October 6-8, 2014, Munich: St. Petersburg stand at EXPO REAL hosted a series of discussions on the city investment potential at EXPO REAL 2014. The conference program was prepared in partnership with education & training center “Academy of Real Estate” (ARE).
The key event of St. Petersburg conference program was “Investment in Russia: new conditions – new advantages”. Participants shared ideas on the following problems: increasing St. Petersburg investment attractiveness, creation of comfortable living environment, and international opinion of the Russian real estate market. The key St. conference gathered the constellation of best speakers: Mikhail Men, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the RF; Sergey Kuznetsov, Main Architect, First Deputy Chairman of Moscow Committee for Architecture and Urban Development; Irina Babiuk, Chairman of the Committee on Investments of St. Petersburg; Hannu Penttila, Vice Mayor of Helsinki; Yuriy Grudin, General Director of Pioneer Group St. Petersburg; Mikhail Balakin, Chairman of Board of Directors SU-155 Group. Olga Arkhangelskaya, Partner of EY, was the moderator of the discussion.
At the event “Public infrastructure in the integrated area development projects: solutions for compromise” the experts discussed possibilities of improving cooperation between investors and authorities in the integrated land development projects and tax preferences for public infrastructure.
During the second day St. Petersburg real estate professionals discussed topics, which continue to keep top relevance for Russian megapolises: “City for investor: competitive advantages of St. Petersburg”, “Apart-hotels: drivers of rental housing market in Russia” (partner – Pioneer Group), “Industrial development: St. Petersburg investment potential in the changed economic situation” (partner – YIT St. Petersburg).
