About BOMA standards
BOMA standard for measuring buildings is the essential method for calculation of rent space of commercial real estate. For more than a century, BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) has been the leader in floor measurement standards, starting with the publication of the first “Office Measurement Standard” in 1915. Throughout the years, the standard has been revised to reflect the changing needs of the real estate market and the evolution of office building design.
Today, BOMA is the secretariat for a suite of measurement standards – for Office, Industrial, Retail, Mixed-use and Multi-Unit Residential Buildings.
