April 29, 2014 Ecopark at the 1st Forum “Development and construction in Leningrad oblast”
Project Ecopark was presented to the expert committee at the panel discussion “Energy efficient technologies in construction and design: myths and reality”, organized by the Committee for energy efficiency and sustainable development, Guild of property managers and developers (GMD). Speakers and participants of the discussion proposed their ways and tools for introducing innovative technologies in construction. According to experts participating in the discussion, the current Russian legislation puts main obstacles to the process. However, Alexandr Svinolobov, Director for development, “NCC Real-estate” noted some positive changes. E.g, NCC professionals, heads of development and construction companies cooperate with legislative and executive authorities of St. Petersburg, sharing ideas to improve legislation in the spheres of construction and development.
Evgeniy Teslia, vice-chairman of Committee for energy efficiency and sustainable development. GMD, presented the Green Zoom, a new methodology for building certification, based on LEED. He also noted that EcoPark can be a productive platform to unite efforts of the expert community and authorities, aimed at development of legislation norms stimulating innovative and energy efficient construction.
Konstantin Sokolov, coordinator of the SymbioCity program, shared the synergetic solutions offered by the Swedish concept of a sustainable urban development, which currently applied in different projects. Spokespersons from Mirland, Profit and LLC UK SYSTEMA told about their innovative projects. Anna Shuldeshova, head of ecology department, project “Triumph Park”, Mirland Development Corporation, shared their company experience in energy efficient development and creation of eco-friendly environment around residential complexes.
Experts noted that notions “building” and “environment” are becoming interactive in the modern development projects.
Participants of the discussion have concluded that projects, legislative initiatives, generated by the expert committee, are sure to make innovative development a successful business.
