Pekka Helin – founder of Helin & Co, the leading architect offices in Finland. Their main activities are architectural design, interior design, urban planning and specialized conceptual design.
Helin & Co projects range from large scale city planning, public, commercial and office buildings to housing projects. At the moment the studio is working on 2 key projects in Helsinki: redevelopment and new concept of the Parliament House and REDI large-scale mixed-use project. Helin & Co have won numerous awards and 38 first prizes in both domestic and international competitions.
Rogier van der Heide (the Netherlands) is a lighting designer of public and commercial projects all over the world. Rogier has a 20 years proven track record in unlocking the value of design for Fortune Global 500 companies. He fuses light, image projection, architecture and product design to create memorable, authentic experiences around the world. Rogier focuses on innovation-led design as an enabler of bridging technology and the creation of meaningful, life-enhancing solutions. Rogier has received over 20 design awards, including Lighting Designer of the Year Award, International Lighting Designer Award of Excellence, Edison Award of Excellence.
Christopher E. Mellen, CPM, ARM is the 2016 President of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He is vice president of the Simon Companies, a national real estate owner, manager and developer headquartered in Braintree, Massachusetts. Chris is an IREM instructor and a faculty member of Boston University.
Chris has more than 30 years of property management experience and is a CPM and ARM, in addition to holding a Massachusetts real estate broker’s license. He has been active in IREM at the national level and served on several committees as a regional vice president and as a member of the Executive Committee.
